Steve Simpson x The Local Artistry
“Oh wow! She looks gorgeous!” may be one of the thoughts that enters into the mind of someone who views an image in Vogue, on television, or even Instagram. Or when one flips through the pages of Brides Magazine and think “Oh My Goodness! I want my wedding to look just like that!” It’s what is in front of the camera that we recognize and that promotes such feelings. However, if we flip the camera 180 degrees, we are able to see the face that ultimately captures each shot and makes them memorable: the photographer. Bakersfield photographer, Steve Simpson, talks with us about his photography, how he started, and how young photographers can start their career.
